The Florida Keys

7 mile bridge in the Florida Keys

Seven Mile bridge in the Florida Keys

Hello everyone.  I just got back from a very, very short trip to the Keys.  I was not there very long and did not get to dive in (no pun intended) to all the local attractions.  I did get a chance to check out the Seven Mile bridge, observe some sea turtles(loggerheads), Crane Point nature center and a nice little Italian restaurant.

This very quick trip got me wanting to go back and to stay a little longer.  There is so much to photograph in the Keys.  Since the Keys thrive on tourism, there is a lot to do with the scuba, snorkeling, deep sea fishing and boat rentals.  But when you are there for a very short period, use what you can to snap up some pictures.  Here are just a few that I took while there.

Invasive iguanas have been showing up in South Florida because people think that they are cool pets, but when they get too big to handle they release them into the wild.  The invasive iguanas then compete for habitat with the native species.
